The
Millennium Declaration is a
United Nations General Assembly Resolution adopted at the 8th plenary of the
Millennium Summit meeting on
8 September 2000.
A follow-up outcome of the resolution was passed by the General Assembly on
14 December 2000 to guide its implementation. The implementation of the Declaration was reviewed at the
September 2005 World Summit.

The Millennium Declaration has eight chapters and key objectives, adopted by 189 world leaders during the summit:
